As written in my blog, my boyfriend and I are going to hold a Register of Marriage (ROM) on 5th March 2016, and I am still doing my housemanship in Medan, in which, make me quite hard to meet my boyfriend in Singapore. So, on 22nd Jan 2016, I flew to Singapore and went to meet our solemnizer at night. She turned out to be a very loving aunty named Tang I Sha Isabel. She asked how we know each other and gave us some short important explanation about our upcoming big day.
The next day, we went to Tampines Mall to hunt for our dream wedding bands. I'd been searching through online, and had two tone eternity ring design in my wish list. We visited quite a lot of jewellery shops. The first shop we entered (couldn't recall the name) showed us a thin plain wedding bands design that I didn't like so we never asked for the price and went out. After that, we visited SK Jewellery but the sales didn't serve us good. That sales girl even gave us that kind of look as if we owed her. She even took out the wedding bands unwillingly and counted the price for us with that weird expression. The eternity wedding bands cost about S$ 2,500 to S$ 2600 over here. We also visited Goldheart Jewellery, Love&Co Jewellery, and Soo Kee Jewellery (which is SK's sister company). But the service in Soo Kee Jewellery was totally fine and great. There was a wedding band design that I was interested in, the ring was two tone (rose gold and white gold combination) with a big solitaire diamond in the middle and small diamonds in a row. So blink blink. The price was about S$ 2,500 ++. The sales even helped us to write down the code on his name card. Because the day was too late already and we still had a friend's house warming to attend, finally we never visited Lee Hwa Jewellery on that day.
On 24th Jan 2016, we travelled from Hougang to Causeway Point because my boyfriend had some works to do over there. We also planned to visit Lee Hwa Jewellery outlet in Causeway Point, as Lee Hwa is the oldest Jewellery shop in Singapore which has served countless couple in finding their dream wedding bands, so Lee Hwa is actually my priority Jewellery shop to look for our wedding bands. I'd been interested in their Destinee brand that allowed couple to upgrade their wedding bands in future.
We entered Lee Hwa Jewellery and were nicely greeted by their senior retail manager, Mr.Gary Lau. Lee Hwa even served us two cups of hot fruit tea (haha.. we were afraid to drink it in case if we didn't buy the ring from their shop, then so phaiseh). Stayed there for quite a long time, the manager showed us a lot of designs and helped us to check for another ring design availability in their other outlets. Two pairs of wedding bands caught my eyes. The first one was almost similiar with the design from Soo Kee. Two tone (18k rose gold/18k white gold) ring with 0.12k solitaire diamond and twelve 0.14k eternity diamonds. The second one had an infinity shape as the design. Two layers of gold with diamonds on one of the layer were crossed and made a x shape as the front look. And another x shape on the back of the ring which remind us of X-man (LOL). Both were in special valentine offer. The first one had a ready size for me (size 8), but need to resize for my boyfriend (size 14). The second one, couldn't resize so need to make to order (need 3 months workmanship time!! We only have one month time left before our big day). Which mean the second infinity design couldn't make in time for us. But I like the first design more than the second indeed. So it wasn't an issue for us. After a few talk, we decided to go other Jewellery shop to compare again.
After our korean lunch, we went to Poh Heng Jewellery and SK Jewellery (the sales were so mean again, I don't know what happened with their sales, lol) but nothing caught our heart. So eventually, we decided to go back to Lee Hwa Jewellery and got our dream wedding bands. It was actually a very good deal with a ring pillow, ring box, two packs of angbao, and an INNI masker by La source bonus. They also gave us one time free polishing service for the first 24 months and free ring cleaning service forever. And two cups of hot tea of course!! I give 10 out of 10 points for Lee Hwa Jewellery services. Really a good experience for us. Thank you for helping us in finding our dream wedding bands in a super short time. And thank you my boyfriend for buying me such a loving wedding bands. Love!
